Abstract

A mid-infrared silicon nanophotonic integrated circuit platform can have broad impact upon environmentalm onitoring, personalized healthcare, and public safety applications. Development of various mid-IR components, including optical parametric amplifiers, sources, modulators, and detectors, is reviewed.
